I'm a MindCORE-sponsored postdoctoral scholar working with Erol Akçay (Biology) and Gareth Roberts (Linguistics) in the SCEW group at the University of Pennsylvania. From Fall 2018 to Fall 2019, I was Assistant Professor at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. I completed my PhD at Duke University in Fall 2018.

Before that, I did my M.A. in philosophy at the Humboldt-Universität in Berlin (2012). During that time, I also worked at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science

My work is on social and cultural evolution, including conceptual, theoretical, and methodological issues in these fields. I address these issues with a variety of methods, ranging from conceptual analysis and mathematical models to computer simulations and experimental techniques.
